Application development in both C++ and Java is supported.

The UIQ SDK contains binaries and tools for building and deploying applications, comprehensive reference and guidance material, examples, and a PC-based emulator to enable fast development turn-around times. The same code can run on multiple phone configurations (with or without flip, landscape or portrait, touchscreen or not, etc.) with minimal or no changes, thus increasing the lifecycle of your applications and content.

The UIQ SDK contains the tools you need to compile your applications for the PC emulator and the UIQ 3 phones, however for serious development work you will benefit from additional tools to ease and speed up your development, from the design phase to the development, testing, optimizing and more.
