Sony Ericsson W960: a Walkman phone that redefines 'music on your mobile'
14 June 2007
Sony Ericsson announces the W960, a Walkman® phone that redefines 'music on your mobile'. The W960 takes the number of Sony Ericsson phones based on Symbian OS v9.1 and UIQ 3.0 to five, increasing the potential market for UIQ 3 applications and demonstrating the flexibility of the UIQ platform to deliver end-users an advanced music and entertainment offering while providing an open and secure platform for business and productivity applications.
A potent combination of slim UMTS phone and high performance media player, the W960 Walkman® phone packs enough punch for up to 8,000 songs (in eAAC+) and includes a Walkman™ player for finger-touch navigation around playlists on the large screen. The 2.6" display serves as an excellent viewfinder for a 3.2 megapixel camera and as a widescreen for watching video in TV quality.
